Design, testing, and conservation implementation were conducted on the various finishes throughout the Marcel Breuer-designed museum during its turnover from the Whitney Museum of American Art to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Testing was conducted to ensure appropriate materials were used for patching, including selection of aggregate, cleaning, removals, crack filling, and finishing. Conservation implementation included inpainting, cleaning, removals, and finishing bluestone and concrete, in an effort to revitalize the interior yet preserve its unique finishes.
